As part of their brand expansion, Capital One introduced a new banking experience combined with a neighborhood coffee shop. A bank experience where you can make a deposit, speak to an advisor and get a great coffee or snack. For their opening of the Santa Monica location, we worked in partnership with Spin PR Group to produce a uniquely local event that encompassed the spirit of this iconic beach city.
From snacks inspired by the Santa Monica pier to local beer and wine and a DJ from renowned Santa Monica radio station KCRW the event featured all things business and beach. Other activities included, live drawing station to create a take home print of the Santa Monica Pier, photo booth staged at the Santa Monica Pier, farmers market food station, local beer and wine tasting, games and trivia. Over 200 guests attended the grand opening celebration including Santa Monica political officials, community stakeholders and members of the media. The event helped establish the cafe as a destination within the Santa Monica community and built sales for the cafe while also establishing a new customer base.
